OFF SNOW REVIEW:
The
Giro Pitch is a wonderful youth helmet. Some kids
are resistant to the full shell helmets, but if
that's what they want (or you want for them!),
the Pitch is a great option.
Very similar the the Giro Ravine, this scaled
down version has the same profile style.
The biggest downfall is the lack of venting. Sweaty,
hot heads will get hotter and sweatier. Giro has
added mesh lining to the helmet, but without vents,
it's not going to do a whole lot for temperature
control.
The Pitch's graphics are clean, but still flashy
enough for the younger crowds to enjoy. My personal
favorites are the Periwinkle and the Red.
The Pitch comes with the standard padded chin
strap to prevent chin chafing and also the Giro
goggle strap to keep the goggles attached to the
helmet at all times.
The internal padding is plush and should make
a day of ski school even more fun!
The new Sonic Youth is heavy competition for the
Pitch in the short shell style.
Overall, a great helmet for the price. If you
are looking for budget helmet for a youth who
is still growing, this helmet is a great option
for you!

WHAT
Giro SAYS... |
 |
|
|
|

Fear
is an enemy of progress.
Luckily, most kids just ignore it. So the Pitch™
is designed to combat your fears, without slowing
down your kid’s progress.
Super Fit™ sizing and removable pads allows you
to adapt the fit as your child grows, so the Pitch
will be snug and comfortable for seasons to come.
Plus, the cool colors and sticker pack give the
future champ a chance to make a helmet all their
own.
