OFF SNOW REVIEW:
The Boeri Myto Air has
been around a long time. It's a tried and true
addition to the Boeri line.
The Myto Air typically fits round head, but
will fit most oval heads as well. The Myto Air
profile is not my favorite, definitely reminds
me of the bowling alley more so than others,
but it's not as bad as it could be.
The color palate makes up for much of the shape
issues I have with the Myto Air. Every year
Boeri comes out with newer and more eye catching
colors! Their graphics on the Myto Air are some
of the best in the industry. This year, my top
picks are the Blue Morph (metallic blue with
hints of green depending on the angle of the
light), the Cherry Apple Red and the Eggplant
(a deep purple). There is not a bad color in
the line, but the black and silver are definitely
for the conservative wearer.
The chin strap is padded with a wrapped fleece
to avoid chin rub and the single adjustment
buckle is very simple to use. The goggle strap
is a simple webbing strap and has an easy to
use snap.
The venting is well designed with entry ports
up front that you can close on really cold days
and large exit ports in the rear. If you get
hot though, make sure you are moving as this
helmet will only vent when air is forced into
the helmet.
The internal padding is clean and well constructed.
It's got a very comfortable fit. The padding
can be pulled away from the body to add additional
padding if necessary for fit.
The Myto Air is CE certified and ASTM certified.
Overall, the Myto Air is a great helmet in the
full coverage category. Personally, I think
the profile is a bit outdated, but I do love
the graphics.
