The Boeri Axis Performance helmets are a revolutionary step for helmet manufacturers everywhere. Now in their 3rd year, the Axis Performance helmets are still a leader in their category. They have a fantastic fit. The lining is very cushy, but firm enough to keep the helmet seated perfectly on your head. The chin strap is padded to prevent chin rub and the newly designed goggle strap is a major improvement over the older Axis models. The helmets design is sleek and sporty and the graphics are great! The blue velvet and the carbon are two of our favorites! The most unique feature of the Axis Performance is something you can't see. The lining is complimented by Outlast fabric. When we first heard about Outlast and it's use in the NASA space suits, we wondered how it could be useful in a ski helmet, but we have seen the results through testing. Outlast is designed to keep you cooler and warmer, depending on your needs. It is a temperature control fabric that holds in heat until you need it and keeps you cool when you need to cool off. We have tested this fabric in the field, and we can honestly say that it not only works, but it works very well. This helmet is well worth the extra money to get the outlast fabric! Overall, the Boeri Axis Performance helmets are a technological dream that skiers and boarders alike will love.
