Info About Venting: |
The vents in the Giro Nine Helmets are fantastic. Divided into three sections, you can remove plugs to open the vents up. You cannot remove the plugs while wearing the helmet though and since the are removable, you can lose the plugs. Keep them in your jacket pocket or pay the price! Great venting system though, nice and cool in the spring and toasty warm in the winter. |

Additional Comments: The Nine MX differes from the standard nine simply because it comes with a visor. Nice addition to a great helmet. |

| Giro Nine MX 2004 Manufacturer Description |

The Nine MX is
rooted in freestyle but it's equipped with a visor option for ripping back country
and tree-lined runs. Because it's all about freedom of choice.
Giro Nine MX Features:
- In-Mold Construction:
In
unity there is strength. That's the idea behind In-mold - a unique construction
method that fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell directly to the helmet's
interior liner. The process reinforces each material, so In-mold helmets feature
larger vents while using less material, and you get a lighter, cooler helmet
that feels like a part of you.
- Goggle Notch:
Every
one of our helmets is designed to match-up with goggles for a comfortable,
gapless fit. Our deep Goggle Notch is a simple detail that works in tandem
with a security loop to keep goggles locked-in all day long. Because sometimes
it's the little things that make the biggest difference.
- Ventilation:
12
mammoth vents grab cool, fresh air when you're riding or hiking for glory,
and the waterproof Weatherstrip vent plugs stop snow and wind chill.
- Weather Strip:
High-performance
features don't have to be complex. Giro's waterproof Weatherstrip vent plugs
are lightweight, simple and highly effective for regulating your temperature
when you're out on the hell. Just snap a set inside the helmet for a tight
seal against the chill, or remove them to let excess heat radiate out. Everything
should be so easy.
- Visor: Removable
moto-style visor defeats glare and rejects branches and falling snow.
- Removable
Earpads: When
was the last time you rode all day in conditions that didn't change? That's
why helmets featuring removable earpads are more than a skate-style look.
Our earpads are snap to install or remove, they lock-in to the helmets securely,
and they offer a nice bit of extra warmth whenever you want it, without restricting
your hearing.
- Styling:
A compact
shape with wide-open field of vision and gapless goggle fit.
- Certification:
ASTM F2040, CE EN1078
- Weight:
15.5 oz / 435
